I'll be honest and admit that I wasn't expecting much...it seems like all of the Ohio haunting/ghost books I've read have all pretty much been the same. Same places, same stories, etc. So I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading "Ghosthunting Ohio". John Kachuba takes a completely different approach than the other authors - he doesn't claim to be an "expert" that knows everything there is to know about the paranormal, instead he approaches the subject scientifically, more like a skeptic. He is a great story teller...when reading his exploration/ghost hunting stories I feel like I'm there with him! I can totally relate to his stories - much of the thoughts and impressions he
has on the ghost hunts are very similar to the ones my friends and I have. It makes the stories seem more realistic. He also adds a little humor to the stories every now and then, and that definitely keeps the stories interesting!
I was also happy to see that many of the haunted places in his book are ones that I haven't read about in the other Ohio haunting books. The travel guide at the back of the book is also extremely helpful.
The only "bad" thing I can say about the book is that it's going to end up costing me a lot of gas money....now I have even more places to add to my list of places to explore! But that's really not a bad thing, is it?!
I'd recommend this book to anyone interesting in ghosthunting!
