Walker Edison Dynasty 60-Inch TV Stand Review

First of all the product arrives in 2 boxes, one weighing in at 80lbs, the other about 30.
There are four black tempered glass sheets, two large (top and bottom) and two small the two middle shelves. 'Each' of the upright cylinders are made of metal, and once built is very solid.
Assembling the table is very simple, even if the instructions are small and very simple, it goes together quickly. About the hardest part in assembling the unit is removing the protective film from each piece.
On purchase it was said to be delivered in 7-10 days, it arrived in 3, thankfully. I wanted it before the TV arrived, and I just finished building it. More to come when the TV arrives.
Edit: Feb 12th, 2008 --
My TV has since arrived, the Pioneer KURO PDP-6010FD 60" 1080p Plasma HDTV, and it fits quite nicely on the table. The table is quite sturdy and doesn't seem overburdened by the TV which weighs in at about 140lbs.
I wanted to add a bit about the dimensions of the shelves, since that might influence buyers. There are three central shelves seen in the picture. The bottom two are the same dimensions at:
H: 5 3/4"
W: 25 3/8" (18 1/4" pole to pole, ie the space your component would have to fit in sliding in from the front)
D: 19 1/2" (12 3/4" pole to pole)
The top shelf has the same Width and Depth as the bottom two the height is:
H: 6 7/8"
There is an optional plate along the back from top to bottom behind the three shelves, for apparently hiding your cables; which prevents easy access to the backs of your components, but I did note that it is optional and doesn't provide any support so could be easily removed if you desired.
The two large speaker bookshelf compartments to either side of the three shelves are the same in size measuring:
H: 19 1/16"
W: 10 1/8" (the 2 inner shelves protrude into the space)
D: 19 1/2" (12 3/4" pole to pole)
Overall with the large screen atop it, black in color with the black stand, the table is an attractive compliment to the TV.

Industrial design meets contemporary style in this all-black Dynasty TV stand from Walker Edison. Ruggedly built yet spare in appearance, the stand can support an extensive media system without dominating the décor. Made of beveled tempered safety glass and powder-coated metal tubing, the shelf holds up to a 70-inch TV on top with three shelves below for game consoles, movie collections, and DVD players. On all the shelves, a deep black silk-screened coating contrasts with gleaming chrome glass mounts. For tidiness, a vertical cutout panel in back keeps cords corralled and out of sight. Measuring 20 by 60 by 23 inches, the stand arrives ready to assemble with all necessary tools included. It is also available in a clear/silver and a clear/black version.

The item had badly scratched glass that was well packed. It had to be scratched when packaged. Too much trouble to repack and send back
It was a lesson learned when purchasing such an item. I would rather pay more locally and have the ease of return.

Techcraft HBL52 52-Inch Wide TV Stand (Black) Review

As most other people commented, this is an excellent stand, very sturdy, very classy looking. Easy assembly, maybe 30-40 minutes. Before I bought this, I could not find any info on the clearance of the shelfs; I have a high end receiver (Sony STR-DG720) that is about 6.25 inches high, and it wasn't clear to me if that would fit in any of the shelves on this stand. So here is some info on shelf heights and clearance: on the bottom shelf, you can fit anything up to 5.25 inches in height, which is more than enough for DVD player, PS2, PS3, etc., but not a high end receiver. The shelf above has more clearance; units up to 6.5 inches high slide easily in from the front (or back), so my Sony Receiver fits in nicely. Since the glass above (which the TV stands on) is supported by "domed" metal beams, you actually have up to 8.5 inches of height, if you slide any unit onto that shelf from the sides. This is because the metal frames the whole unit stand on cover a little bit of the total height of the second shelf at the front and back, but not on the sides. I actually was almost able to put my center speaker bar on top of my tall receiver on this shelf when sliding it in from the side, there was just a tenth of an inch or so height missing to do that. But since there is so much horizontal space on both shelves anyway, that was not needed (one can easily fit three components side by side on each shelf). So in summary, there is more than enough height on the second shelf for tall electronic units like high end receivers. Hope this is helpful!

Techcraft Xii50W Flat Pannel Stand, 50" Wide, Walnut Veneer Review

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of assembly of this stand. It is larger than I expected and my 32 inch TV looks a little wimpy sitting in it.
The ONLY problem I had putting it together was that I was unaware that the three pieces of glass are different sizes (duh, I know). Anyway, when you put this together, remember that the largest piece is the top glass, the smallest piece of glass goes in the middle rack and the medium piece of glass is the bottom shelf.
