(More customer reviews)This was a wonderful reminisience of my childhood in The Bronx from shopping at Alexander's, Loehman's and the Palace Movie theater. Even found Mayers Ice Cream Parlor on E 219th Street and White Plains Road where I used to get sundaes and the best egg creams made by Joe Brancato! Never found one better. And the piece I noticed was written by my St. Mary's grade schoolmate, Carlo Gambino!! Lots of great photos. I highly recommend this book.
