The box was a bit mangled, we were worried that there would be damage. But alas,it was just fine. Went together like a charm. No missing, or miss-marked pieces. Looks like we paid much more for it. Very sturdy. Over the years we have purchased many of the Sauder brand pieces, and have been happy with each and every one. My husband put it together by himself in about an hour and a half.

The EZ Snap design made up my mind when I was looking at TV stands. It took me about 10 minutes to put this together and without tools. Seriously! It's solid as a rock too.

(More customer reviews)Well the picture of this product is accurate and when I received it and opened it up, I had no complaints. I laid out all the pieces and began the assembly process. All of the hardware was in a nice container in the center of the packaging. I was impressed. Then when I started laying out the hardware I noticed that the cam locks were not durable...they felt like some kind of strong plastic and that they provided "extra" pieces. WOW I thought, how nice that the manufacturer acknowledges you may need an extra one or two. My excitement ended there. As they say it went all downhill from here.
The reason for the extra cam locks became evident as they are not durable at all...very cheap. As I started tightening each cam lock, one by one they broke very easily. I found myself with a needle nose plyers pulling out the pieces. I had finally used up all the extra cam locks included in the packaging.
There was two other issues...the washers that were listed on the product list were not included and the pre-drilled holes on the bottom piece were not pre-drilled.
I did contact the manufacturer about the washers and they offered to send them to me, but at the time I thought I could go to Home Depot and get them myself, so I did. I am currently searching for additional cam locks that are more durable. I would contact the manufacturer but I don't want replacement cam locks that are just as poor as the ones that were included. The piece is standing but I tell people don't touch or move it as it will fall apart at the touch. I wish I would have sent it back in the 30 day window and now regret not doing that.
It will eventually come together tightly once I find better cam locks but what a hassle.

After watching the price for a few weeks, it finally dropped to about $250 with shipping, so I bought it. The audio tower was easy to assemble, maybe taking about an hour or so to put together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The audio tower looks great, especially sitting next to the TV stand, and it's sturdy. There's plenty of room for my extra components too, relieving the overload on my TV stand. If you have a need for an audio rack, you'll like this one.

(More customer reviews)this product never worked. I bought it, plugged it in, it tried to go, and it conked out. In addition to not working, there is NO WAY 17 bottles will fit. My roommate and I spent 15 minutes trying all different configurations, and the max we could get in was 14 and that was a bit scary. The bottom section (where the cans are shown) isn't deep enough for wine to go straight back, and will only fit 2-3 (3 very shaky) bottles sideways on each.

They answered all questions quickly, accurately & courteously. The cabinet is better than I actually thought it might be and the price was more than reasonable. It holds our flat screen TV, TiVO, separate DVR, a VCR and the receiver for a sound system. If I ever need an individual piece again, they will be my first contact. Excellent customer service and a great buy.

I love the glass doors on cabinet to keep video games, movies and Wii dust free! BTW my cable modem and router fit nicely laying flat on open shelf with DVR
The only con I have is the flame is only amber. I could not really tell it was amber only in the picture. Come on guys...couldn't you have put a little red in there to mix up the colors?! It is obvious it is not a real flame...which is what I want...but the amber only color makes it a little less comfy when lit.
With the Amazon price with free shipping I saved over $150 over Target and Walmart online plus I got Amazon free shipping!

Walker Edison 41-inch DVD Tower Review

(More customer reviews)Normally when Amazon asks me to review a product I recently bought, I decline. Honestly, who wants to read a review about that $12 wall calendar I just bought? Or my review # 1827 of some blockbuster DVD? But this is one item I wanted to review.
There ARE cheaper DVD towers out there. And there's a reason they're cheaper. You get what you pay for, and that is definitely true here.
This is a GREAT DVD cabinet. In my opinion, you'd be hard pressed to find anything of higher quality, short of buying a super-expensive model made of genuine hard wood. Yes, this is particle board, but this isn't your typical particle board furniture. The pieces are nice and sturdy (no flimsy 1/4" crap shelves here!), and it all fits together extremely well. I even accidentally knocked it over right as I was about to put the doors on. It's 3.5 feet tall but only 8 inches wide; for it to tip over, that's a long way down to fall! Didn't hurt it one bit (though I don't recommend you testing it similarly).
And speaking of tipping it over, it also includes an attachable wall strap to prevent it from tipping over once fully loaded!
The frosted glass doors combined with the black wood-grain finish is very stylish, and they EVEN include black wood-grain stickers to hide the assembly hardware on the inside. Talk about attention to detail!
I always worry about DIY furniture being damaged in the box during shipment (whether to me or to the local retail store), however this was extremely well packed in the box so it'd take a major shipping accident to cause any harm even to the glass inside. You know they care about quality when they include pieces of particle board AS packing material.
All in all, I am VERY happy with this DVD case. If you're looking for something that is elegant, small (approx 100 DVDs), and most importantly NOT a flimsy, wobbly piece of junk, this is definitely the one to get.
Especially if you get it at the Amazon price of $107 plus free shipping!

Techcraft HBL44 44-Inch Wide Television Stand (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)The appearance of the HBL44 is quite impressive, although you're going to need to dust the glossy black glass shelving regularly or get some anti-static cleaning spray. Dimensions are perfect for a 46" HDTV (no side overhang) although I believe it's built for a 37" to 42" HDTV.
As with other large furniture assembly, go through at least three rounds of screw checking and tightening and you'll have one solid piece of furniture. This stand doesn't creak, groan, or even wiggle slightly. Plan on half an hour for assembly between you and a friend and another hour for getting your A/V components placed and wired.
While this stand can take the heavier A/V components, my advice is to place the those components in the shelves and get as much of the wiring done before moving this stand onto its permanent floor location. The second shelf (from the bottom) has quite a bit more height than the bottom shelf, but it was still a tight squeeze getting a Denon receiver (AVR-1910) into the second shelf. Once in there, the receiver has plenty of room and wiring it up from the top or back couldn't be easier.
If you're strong or have a friend handy, you can get all of the components into the shelving and move this stand without too much trouble. Moving this stand is easy if you leave off the (heavy!) black glass top.

(More customer reviews)This console is solidly constructed mostly from hardwood veneer panels. The top is veneer, but has a solid wood molding running around the perimeter. The feet are solid as well. The back panel has several openings in the appropriate locations to route cables through. The back panel is made from a dense cardboard, but I couldn't tell this was the case until I needed to cut one of the openings a little wider to accommodate an unusually deep stereo component. That turned out to be convenient as it can be cut with a box cutter if needed.
The black paint finish has a satin sheen and the wood grain if visible through it- quite nice for a mass-produced piece. Brushed nickel doorknob hardware finish is also attractive. This item is extremely well packaged for shipping and arrived in perfect condition about 1-1/2 weeks after ordering. It is not quite fully assembled however - the feet and door hardware must be attached. That took only about 15 min. including placing the shelves at the desired height. Dimensions of the two component compartments are approx 18-1/4" W x 17-3/4" H x 18" D (without the 3/4" thick shelves). The center compartment is about 8-3/4" wide. The door latches protrude slightly into this space which prevented my stereo amplifier from sliding in. I removed the latch (2 screws), inserted the component and then replaced the latch - problem solved.
The console gets all the components out of view, but they're easily accessible. It's a good piece of furniture for the price.
