(More customer reviews)Upon arrival, I was eager to put this piece together! The instructions were pretty easy to follow; it is just a matter of staying organized. Some of the pieces were not labeled, but it was easy to identify them after looking at the pictures in the diagrams. By myself, it took about 8 hours to put together, but was well worth it! The piece looks amazing with my 50" TV! It is quite heavy and sturdy and takes two people to move. The drawers and doors look very nice and nothing is out of line. I was impressed with the glass shelves on the side and the hardware it came with. What a fair price for this piece! This item is cheaper WITH shipping than what other stores are charging for just the unit! SO happy I got this from Amazon! It was just what I needed for a perfect entertainment center!
Suggestions: The hidden cams often stripped when I tried to turn them the full 210 degrees, but having a wide screwdriver would prevent that easily.
The instructions do not say how far to drill the screws into the pre-drilled holes; I made the mistake of drilling them in all the way and was unable to put the screw covers on.
When assembling the cardboard backing, only tack the nails in halfway first so you can make adjustments-- trying to remove them while they are hammered all the way in will only tear the backing. Then once everything is in place, hammer them in all the way.
Only two perforated holes are available in the center of the backing for any audio/video device. I had to cut my own holes behind the other shelves for my other devices. If you do this, make sure to have a sharp serrated tool to or drill bit to cut a smooth round hole. I used the pop-out to trace the right size.
