(More customer reviews)I've been banging around Belize for more than 20 years, have most of the guidebooks to Belize in my library (often in several editions) and have even written a few myself. This new entry in the Explorer's Guide series is one of the most useful of the current crop.
Light on narrative and history, which many guidebook readers skip over anyway, but heavy on the nitty-gritty of where to sleep and eat and what to do, Kate Joynes-Burgess delivers the goods in a clean, crisp and easy-to-use format. The guide isn't encyclopedic by any means, but it covers the ground in all areas. There are lots of good black-and-white photos and maps aplenty. With only a few exceptions, it's up-to-date and, glory be, it even has a good index.
