(More customer reviews)I love this Book, I started messing with watercolor and sketching about a year and NOT a thing I did turned out and now I know why, I needed this Book. The Author covers everthing that you didn't think about and starts you out on some easy lessions. I have spent a ton of money and am knee high in books that are not informative for a beginner, this book explains everything and guides you along to some pretty decent sketches and watercolor. If I had had this Book last year I would have saved alot of money, paint, brushes that I didn't need let alone frustration. I just bought the Book for a frend of mine who is starting to sketch and paint, this is all she needs to get going, this book and Creating Luminous Watercolor Landscapes by Sterling Edward are all you need to be really and stay inspired. Everything that most Authors don't cover with out endless babble is in Your Artist's Brain. I love this Book so much and am really proud of what I have been able to do with this book on my tsble, it is great and unlike most books you will want to keep reading and learning. The art work is great, not hung up on drawing coffee cups, etc. Read the chapters on angle and how to get it right the first time. Worth every penny, I am waiting for the next book. You really won't want to pass this Book, don't buy another Book until you get this one. Also Carl Purcell can paint! You will come a long way with this Book at your side, be you a beginner or pro don't pas this one. I am truly grateful for Carl sharing what he knows! Thank you, Thank you so much Mr. Purcell. I highly recommend this Book for everyone Sketching and Painting!
