(More customer reviews)After touring nearly every local furniture store, and scouring the internet marketplace... I landed on this contemporary entertainment center.
POSITIVES: The dimensions are PERFECT for storing stereo/audio equipment side-by-side (LOTS of real-estate), and neatly stow a center channel speaker just underneath the table-top (mine is 8.5" high, which I fit inside the compartment during assembly). The style & finish are really great. We've gotten lots of complements. Storage is GREAT with the two side cabinets
NEGATIVES: The assembly was complicated and time consuming. Several pieces did not fit-up properly, and required filling & re-drilling of holes for hardware installation. If you don't have a lot of patience & moderate mechanical skills, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Once assembled, I attempted to move the entertainment center by lifting up on the table-top... to have it rip apart. Several of the cheap CAM-LOCKS completely failed simply under the weight of the furniture itself! At this point, I was ready to return the item, but instead spent an additional $50 @ home depot on brackets, braces, & screws to beef it up. After blowing ~ 15 hours putting this all together, the unit is nice & sturdy (as it should have been in the first place).
BEWARE - although the fit, finish, and style of this unit is great... It has SERIOUS quality and construction issues!
